Bhajji says he has shed 'bad boy' tag

New Delhi: Anything Shoaib Akhtar can do, Harbhajan Singh can do better. The Indian Turbanator, out of action after the infamous Slapgate incident with S Sreesanth, insists he has come out a better man albeit having learnt it the hard way.

After BCCI slapped him a five-match ban for slapping Sreesanth in an IPL match, Harbhajan accepted his folly and he reckons curbing the temper would solve his problem.

"There are a lot of things I would have done differently. But we're all human and we all make mistakes and we learn from them. I will learn," he said in an interview to a TV channel.

Harbhajan blamed the entire episode to his passion, and never say die attitude.

"I never plan to get into trouble. I'm very passionate about my game and I just love playing for my country. I get too involved, I want to win, I want to win each and every game and I want to deliver in difficult situations," he says.

Wiser after the incident, the Turbanator now sees the episode as a lesson for him that would stand him in good stead in the future.

"Whatever happens, happens for good. I guess it was God's way of teaching me the lesson," Harbhajan adds.

Waiting for the ban to get over and join the team in Sri Lanka, Harbhajan is practising at the National Cricket Academy these days.

"I'm here at the NCA, working hard on my game. It's nice to be back with the boys and training with them. I'm really enjoying my time here and really looking forward to the Sri Lanka tour and getting back to playing again and doing well."
