Spat over cricket match costs a boy his life

JAIPUR: A 15-year-old boy was killed after a spat over a cricket match with his friends here Tuesday.

One Devesh Meghwar died after he was hit with a bat on his head by his friend at a playground in front of Government College under Junction police station in Hanumangarh district on Tuesday evening, acoording to a news report published in the Times of India.

According to the police, some friends were playing cricket on Tuesday evening, when they had a dispute over who would bat first. Things took an ugly turn when one Arjun (also a minor) hit Devesh with a bat. The boy fell down unconscious.

His other friends rushed to Devesh's house to tell his parents about the incident.
