Mumbai: Will Kapil Dev be attending the Indian Cricket League's "most important" meeting with ICC President David Morgan?

Well, being a high-profile cricketer of yesteryears and India's only World Cup winning captain, should not miss the chance to represent the ICL, where he is also the Chairman of the Executive Board. Kapil's presence in the meeting may strenghten the ICL's case to some extent, it is believed.

"I am not in India and please direct your queries to Mr Himanshu Mody, the Business Head," he said. Despite repeated attempts, the ICL officials were not prepared to confirm Kapil Dev's possible interaction with the ICC chief.

ICL officials (Subhash Chandra and Himanshu Mody) are certain to meet David Morgan in London.

The ICL had previously written to the ICC requesting its approval and now it has asked for this meeting, to which the ICC has agreed.

All members of the ICC Board have been informed of this meeting and the ICC President is to report back to what they discussed in the meeting to those directors at the board's next meeting, in Dubai on October 14-15.

The ICC's new Indian Principal Advisor IS Bindra may not remain present during the ICL's interaction with Morgan in London, but is certain to attend the ICC board meeting in Dubai.

Kiran More, the other ICL board member confirmed that he is not attending this meeting. Dean Jones (Australia) and Tony Greig (England) are the remaining members on the ICL Board.
