Kolkata: India lost opener Dinesh Karthik early on after electing to bat against Pakistan in the second Test at the Eden Gardens here on Friday.

Sohail Tanveer inflicted the early jolt on India, who are looking to take a decisive lead in the three-Test series.

India haven't beaten Pakistan in a Test series at home since 1979 but that can change in Kolkata especially after their comprehensive win in the first Test at the Ferozeshah Kotla.
