Darwin: Australia crushed Bangladesh by 73 runs in the third and final One-Dayer to wrap-up the series 3-0 on Saturday.
Bangladesh chasing 199 for victory were shot out for a paltry 125 off 29.5 overs with their opening batsman Tamim Iqbal making a fighting 63 off 126 balls.
For the Australians James Hopes (three for 30), Stuart Clark (two for 12) and Shane Watson (two for eight) picked wickets at regular interval.
The 73-run win meant Australia completed a clean sweep in the three-match series, in which the Bangladesh's batting was well below the standard required of an international side.
In the first match they were dismissed for just 74 and lost by 180 runs, then they were bowled out for 117 in the second match on their way to an eight-wicket defeat.
Bangladesh were again in big trouble early in the chase Saturday, slumping to 22 for three before Iqbal and Shakib Al Hasan, who had also done well with the ball, steadied the ship.
Earlier, a responsible half century by Michael Hussey helped world champions Australia reach 198 for five off their stipulated 50 overs.
The middle order batsman, who hammered a final-over six to finish unbeaten on 57 from 72 balls, helped his team reach 198 for five off 50 overs on a difficult surface. with Shaun Marsh (30), Shane Watson (27) and skipper Michael Clarke (25) all getting a start but failing to convert them into big scores.
Bangladesh perhaps could have restricted Australia to much lesser total with tight fielding in the last few overs but overall their efforts were outstanding as their fielders effected three run outs while Farhad Reza (one for 43) and Abdur Razzak (one for 22) were the only two bowlers to be among the wickets.
