hari krishna	i dont agree with your views,for the simple reason that he hasn''t proved his mettle in the longer version of the game.kumble had two tough assignments the first one in australia was a tough series and the series was a hard fought and either could have won the series.after all the controversys down under he had handeled it prety well.And the last series it was the batsmen who are to be blamed for the loss.Dhoni record in test matches is very poor and he is yet to score against a quality opposition.just look at his scores against australia,southafrica and england in test matches.In fact sehwag would be a better option for captancy than dhoni ( Posted: Friday , September 26, 2008 at 15:39 )

bhaskar	I think it will be not fair to draw any conclusion on Dhoni"s Captaincy.Yes So far he has done a reasonably good job.To judge Dhoni or for that Matter anybody as a Captain ,we need to watch him atleast for 4/5 years,then we can compare with others. let him face differnt situations/venues/Teams for some more time. He seems to be a Cool Person. he has taken right and wrong decisions as a Captain.He has got Good understanding of the Game.But How Good a Captain he is should be Judged over a period of time only.he got two /three very good advantages. first he got total and full support of BCCI. The selectors have given a him free Hand.These are unlikely things for most of our Previous captains.Earlier Captain was seleceted series by series. One Bad Tournament had cost the Captancy Job- this we have experinced earlier.Moreover Dhoni got the benefits of playing with lot of Ex Captain in Test Series.But having Said so let us accept the Fact that he has shown tremendus amount of maturity in his Captaincy. let us Hope that he will continue to do well for some more Years.we will have no problem in Saying that he is one of the Best or perhaps the best ODI Captain .I also hope in near future he will be selected as test Captain was well. Dany.C.Patrick	Test captaincy or not, at the moment he is doing a good job. I seriously think it would be too big a burden to carry for anyone including M.S.D to be captain and wicket keeper for the T20,ODI''s and Test. Guys give him a break, he is human. Probably draft in a (specialist) keeper so that part of the burden is off him and let me assure you, he is good enough just to be in the team as batsman and captain. LVISS	Federer and Nadal who never play doubles in tournaments were eager to play for their country in olympics. Compare it with our captain who skipped the test series. In between test matches there were rest days to take care of tired limbs. But still he chose to stay away. Dhonis team already got tested in the first ODI against Srilanka as I mouse these comments. JUst as u cannot give captain full credit for teams victory , u cannot blame Dhoni if the team fails.He shd come up the order and try to play out till the last over.
