jack Wrong Captain, wrong selections. Absolutely disgraceful. Mallya is rightfully upset at the showing of his team, but then again, he should have picked the right people to select his team seeing how much money he invested(second highest in the IPL after Mumbai). Anyway, whatever is done is done, and the next year, heads will roll for sure and changes will be made. Dravid is certainly a fantastic player, but at Test level, not this fast paced 20/20 game. One must remeber that it is not only how you bat, but also the running between the wickets, and the fielding as well, and Dravid whether we like it or not, is past that age. This is a young man''s game, and bar a few exceptions, like Mcgrath, Warne, Pollock, Tendi perhaps, and a few others, older cricketers will find it extremely difficult to adjust to it. Let us all fervently hope that Dravid''s team salvage some pride in the remaining games(I don''t know how though, but will pray) for the benefit of their ardent fans. LVISS Shane Warne for Bangalore ?No way. Actually, after seeing what hapnd to Charu Sharma those who are already in would be wanting to jump to safety.Nobody can deliver with a sword dangling above his head. THe plain fact is that a cricket team cannot be run like a corporate office. They have nothing in common. Other teams doing equally badly never make any fuss abt their teams performance.
There are eight teams out of which only four can make the final grade. If Chennai fails to make the last four are they going to discard Dhoni .The tournament is half way through and the changes in Bangalore can be done for the next edition.Any change at present is not going to make difrence to the teams fortune. sampathkumar it is really sad. if going by the team hyd is the only team first to go to semifinal stage, but they r rock bottom in the table. and i wont blame dravid royal challange lost few matches very closely. they miss the trick.look what happen to chennai kings. they r struggling.since they won 4 in intital stage they r somewhat comfort.and bby alos doing very bad and ambani nevr gone on public.so what mallaya done is wrong going public.and it is not one man show it is a team game, what happening to his own formula1 team is it doing great.so it is rather unfortunate that dravid get a stck from his master(mallaya)for no fault of his.all the best rc. R Cherian Having spent Rs. 111 million Mallya is right in demanding performance. As Chandrasekhar said the team should have been built around Robin Uthappa as Captain. Anyway Mallya should be more careful with team selection from next year onwards.Bangalore deserves to have performers and not old friends and former colleagues play for Royal Challengers. Sanjeev Kumar Dravid is very bad cricketer and also have proud on himself without doing much for India. Vijay Malya is one of the great indian and he is totally right, ( Posted: Monday , May 12, 2008 at 19:48 )
dr dave well mallaya is wrong footed and he has fired mr charu for no reason.Actually I respect dravid too ...but twenty 20 is power game and his presence in this format is likely to flop! yes uthapa is nice guy for this... ( Posted: Monday , May 12, 2008 at 19:48 )
S Khan He must go for ODI and T20 player not test.I think the big mistake was Captain Rahul Dravid.
He is great test player not ODI and T20 player if he is, he must in national team.......
Sorry for Mallya and Banglore. ( Posted: Monday , May 12, 2008 at 19:22 )
Chandra Shekar I suppose Robin Uthappa as a captain in place of Dravid. ( Posted: Monday , May 12, 2008 at 19:07 )
Rajesh Nair I really do not think the team is that bad, it is just that the players did not perform. What I mean is that if buying flashy players equals success then why is Hyderbad at the bottom of the league? ( Posted: Monday , May 12, 2008 at 19:04 )
