Simple Symonds, now Humble Hayden
Matthew Hayden is suffering from the worst thing that can happen to a batsman - bad timing. He forgot that there won't be another IPL auction in a hurry, so there is no way his tag is going to go up any further. He should have fought Harbhajan Singh before the auction. All he will get is some pathetic pocket money from this Brisbane radio station. First there was Simple Symonds, now there is Humble Hayden. Personally, I'll take the former any day, though that does not mean he....

Claim to fame is game of the name
Since everyone, all our business magnates and flimstars, is out to ensure a bright future for Indian cricket (while also keep the heating on in some households abroad) through the IPL , isn't it time for all of us to come to their aid? So what can we do? Not much really, since a collective estimate of the pensions of all journalists put together would be like lighting a match to a forest fire. So we will get in some aesthetic inputs, namely, help these franchisees out with names....

Piercing eyes and deadly hairstyle!
A couple of days ago, I was going through one of the newspaper supplements in the morning, when I came across a list of the most happening singles in Delhi. This was in the backdrop of this strange phenomenon called Valentine's Day. On this list was one new face, which was supposedly among the hottest things happening in Delhi. It was Ishant Sharma, who was on that list for his 'piercing eyes, and rocking hairstyle! Now, we all are eternally grateful to the newspaper bosses for coming out....

Gambhir is serious stuff
This season seems to be about taking on the young brigade - how the young lot are no patch on the 'seniors', and how India will struggle in the tri-series Down Under. After the Twenty-20 match and the first game against Australia at Brisbane, the calls, from a grumble, rose to a roar. To an extent, the roars are right, since Australia is not the place where you try to get cute, it's a place where teams often choose to go with tried and tested players. Funny thing....
